by Sally Matheny   I’m so glad Zonderkidz is publishing I Can Read! books like A Father’s Love, part of the NIV Adventure Bible series. It’s time for a book review and giveaway! Be sure to read below how to enter for the drawing. A Father’s Love is a level 2 book, which means it is a high-interest story for developing readers. Bibles Removed From NC Baptist Church

Did you hear about the day the Bibles were removed from a small, N.C. Baptist church? I wrote an account of it elsewhere a few years ago and thought I'd share it with you here. A warm welcome was given and a praise band began to play. Parents ushered little ones to their seats. In the middle of the morning hustle, most of the people had not noticed the Bibles were missing.

/ Comments Off on Commemorating Christmas in Bastogne 1944–Book Review: No Greater Valor

Seventy years ago, German troops outnumbered and surrounded the US troops in Bastogne, Belgium. Hopes of a silent night diminished. However, not only did the U.S. troops hold fast to their faith and courage, but they also witnessed divine miracles that Christmas. They held Bastogne.  Dr. Jerome Corsi, author of six New York Times best-selling books, extensively researched numerous WWII resources, including military documents, personal diaries, and letters. The result of his research is his latest book, No Greater Valor: The Siege of Bastogne and the Miracle That Sealed Allied Victory.

    Veterans—Why Children Still Need You

/ Comments Off on Veterans—Why Children Still Need You

This Veterans Day, not only do I want to express my appreciation, but I also want to remind veterans of why our children still need you. Those who have served in our Armed Forces, during times of peace and times of war, have surely done so with our children in mind.
