Are you looking for a new, bedtime story book? Let me tell you about Nancy I. Sanders’ new, padded board book, BEDTIME WITH DADDY.
In December of 2021, I reviewed Sanders’ book, BEDTIME WITH MOMMY. What a perfect follow-up with a book about how different animal dads around the world prepare their little ones for a peaceful night.
The Author
Nancy I. Sanders is one of my favorite children’s book authors. She’s a bestselling and award-winning author of over 100 books.
Sanders states on her website that her favorite topics to write about are God, Bible stories, educational subjects, African American history, and Jane Austen.
She and her husband have two adult sons who are married and have families of their own.

About BEDTIME WITH DADDY
BEDTIME WITH DADDY is an engaging book depicting male animals around the world with their offspring before bedtime.
The illustrator, Felia Hanakata, used warm, rich colors to illustrate eight different animals and geographic regions. The illustrations are beautiful and soothing.
Snuggle your littles next to you as you read about a penguin daddy in Antarctica tucking in his little one.
Perhaps your children will say they brush their teeth like the baby gorilla in the mountains. Or, they like to play and race with their daddy like the yak in the high plateau.
The lyrical text includes the bedtime rituals of playing, brushing teeth, bathing, singing, praying, and reading stories. Also included are many affirmations of a loving relationship between children and their daddies. As well as words of thanks to God
Then, there’s a perfect ending showing a human daddy playing the guitar and singing his child’s favorite hymn before bed. Nestled beside the child are his Bible and two stuffed animals which were mentioned in the story.
Recommendation
I highly recommend this delightful Christian book published by End Game Kidz. It is sure to remind children of the love and protection of their earthly fathers as well as their heavenly one.
